Flood protection prevents a customer from receiving the same survey multiple times in a certain time window.


To set the Flood protection for a campaign, open the campaign in the Campaign Manager then Click the Other icon.

Flood protection settings: 

  • Count: is the number of surveys from this campaign the customer can receive per Window. 
  • Window: is the number of days. 


Typically this should be set to, for example:

Count = 1 

Window = 120


This means in a 120-day window the platform is only allowed to send 1 survey to each contact. 

Clicking outside the box will automatically save the setting - you will see a green confirmation at the bottom of the screen. 



Please note:

  • Flood data is hashed/encoded in a separate flood database. If you have set PII contact data to be 10 days but the flood protection is 28 days we track the 28 flood rule in the flood protection database, not the contact manager.
  • The applies to both email and mobile phone numbers
  • While in testing you may want to adjust this to allow you receive multiple surveys in a day - make sure to revert it back.
